Turning tournament coverage into film 2026
The German Golf League needed coverage for their tournament — the kind of brief that usually results in standard event recap videos. Our approach was different from the start: treat it as a film, not event coverage.
Before the event, we built the creative approach and content strategy: instead of one generic highlight reel, we planned a structured format — a daily recap film released each day of the tournament, plus a short film wrapping up the whole event once it ended. The goal was to give the coverage a narrative arc, day by day, rather than a single disconnected summary at the end.
Golf turned out to be a rich subject creatively — a sport of contrasts: the stillness before the swing, the silence broken by impact, the calm of nature against the tension and precision of competition. We built the visual approach around those contrasts rather than treating it as a standard tournament recap.
We shot and edited across the tournament, delivering a daily recap film each day, plus a final short film capturing the event as a whole — produced with the pacing and structure of a short film, not a standard event reel.

The League handled distribution across their own channels — our role was to make sure every format was delivered on time, ready to go out each day of the event.
